    Mohamed bin Zayed receives the President of Paraguay

    The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received Mario Abdo Benitez, President of Paraguay, who is currently visiting the UAE to attend the National Day celebrations at Expo 2020 Dubai. They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries at the Al Shati Palace, reinforcing their cooperation in areas such as economics, investment, commercial, development, and renewable energy.

They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries at the Al Shati Palace, reinforcing their cooperation in areas such as economics, investment, commercial, development, and renewable energy.  A number of regional and international topics of mutual interest were also discussed. The two then discussed the UAE's successful hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai and Paraguay's participation, which displays the country's geographic and cultural diversity.  Considering that the UAE believes in coordination and mutual respect, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed said the UAE is interested in expanding its cooperation and partnership with all countries of the world. President Benitez lauded support from the UAE for Paraguay's medical sector in addressing the pandemic.  The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Advisor to the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment; and Saeed Abdullah Saif Al Qamzi, UAE Ambassador to Argentina and Non-Resident Ambassador to Paraguay.  Several other Paraguayan officials attended the meeting, including Luis Alberto Castiglioni, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Celina Lezcano, the Minister of Women's Affairs, Raul Cano Ricciardi, the Vice Minister of Economic Relations and Integration, and Jose Aguero Avila, the Paraguayan Commissioner-General at Expo 2020 Dubai.A number of regional and international topics of mutual interest were also discussed.
