According to official statements released by the UAE, the talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and expanding cooperation across areas of mutual interest. The discussions addressed political coordination as well as economic and development-related cooperation, with particular attention given to trade, investment and sustainable development sectors. Both leaders reviewed existing ties and explored opportunities to enhance collaboration in line with national development priorities.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week serves as an international platform bringing together government leaders, policymakers, industry executives and international organizations to discuss global sustainability challenges. The annual event focuses on renewable energy, climate action, innovation, and sustainable economic growth. The meeting between the UAE President and the Montenegrin Prime Minister took place amid a broader program of official dialogues and partnerships announced during the week.

The UAE and Montenegro also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on investment during the meeting. The agreement aims to support cooperation between the two countries in investment-related fields and to facilitate the exchange of expertise and information. Officials indicated that the memorandum is intended to provide a framework for identifying potential areas of collaboration and encouraging mutually beneficial economic activity.

Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s approach of building partnerships with countries across Europe and other regions based on shared interests and constructive engagement. The UAE leadership has emphasized economic diversification, sustainable development and international cooperation as central pillars of its foreign policy, particularly through investment partnerships and participation in multilateral platforms such as Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week.
